What is What Matters Online?
WMO is a blog dedicated to covering critical issues in online marketing and media. Coverage areas include social media/networking, interactive marketing and advertising, emerging online technologies, trends and company profiles. My intent is to provide interesting and useful information for people who swim in the new media stream. Hopefully, readers will be entertained and provoked, while gathering information they can use to position themselves for Web 2.0, 3.0 and beyond.
Why do you put those annoying stock ticker symbols (e.g. “GOOG” for Google) after the names of public companies?
It’s an SEO strategy, pure and simple. Just want to help investors find me. Got a better (less intrusive) approach to suggest? Please feel free to let me know.
How can I get my client/company considered for coverage by What Matters Online?
Just drop me a note at annezieger at gmail dot com. Be aware that I’m particularly interested in start-ups (something in my blood). I’m also willing to entertain contributed pieces if they’re short, sweet, insightful and hopefully, not a bunch of biz blah blah blah. (Attitude counts, in other words.)
May we reprint content from What Matters Online?
Yes, be my guest–as long as you cite the source and provide a link back to the blog. I’d also be glad to do extended research on any topic you see here, exclusive to your organization, for an appropriate fee.
Who publishes What Matters Online?
Me. I’m not currently affiliated with any technology vendors or publishing companies–though I’d love to talk to vendors if they wanted to try social networking experiments on the blog. Anyone got ideas?
